My team has had to create many assessment this year to match our new units aligned to the common core. I have found that collaborating resulted in some strong assessments that pushed students a little further than we had in the past. Does anyone have any tips for getting everyone on board with common assessments?
Also, the common core has brought a lot of changes and parents are quite inquisitive - a good thing! There have been many parents with concerns about the common core because it's different than they are used to and the curriculum/projects/assessments are different than something an older sibling engaged in. Any advice on the best way to introduce parents to the common core change, especially with the new state assessments coming in the very near future?
